Teach your kids to do Hard Things, with Jay Tiegs
Apr 25, 2022On this episode, we’ll be stepping into some topics seldom discussed among men, such as how to teach courage and bravery to kids, guiding kids on courses of action and how to balance their anxieties with anticipation; my friend Jay Tiegs is the man to bring the knowledge. His perspective is valuable and refreshing and carries the credentials to talk-the-talk.
Jay is a High Performance Coach, ultra-athlete and runs the podcast and gear brand, Do Hard Things. As well, Jay has been building leaders in the US Army for over 25-years as a career officer.
Most important, he is a father of triplet teenage girls, so yes - he knows a thing or two about doing hard things.
In this episode you will learn about:
- Teaching your kids the difference between courage and bravery
- Why planning for the most likely course of action is better than the most dangerous
- Why 90 block routines are critical
- Using anticipation to counter your child's anxiety
- ... so much more
